Some Wild Goats!

Back in the fall of 2018, I went on a hike up through Canyon Creek Meadow to the highest hike-able ridge line on Three Finger Jack. After crossing the timberline I spotted a pair of the Rocky Mountain Goats that where released by ODFW a while back. I had heard of em but had never seen so it was kinda cool. I only had my phone camera on me so the pictures aren't the best but I still think they're pretty neat.

If you're curious about them here and here are some articles where you can read more!

I was climbing into the rising sun so when I was below them I got alot of lens flairs. It got better as I climbed above and around them.

Otherwise there was some pretty great nature porn to be had up there. I am sure there's thousands of these same images up on the internet but I wanna chuck mine on the pile too!

This was really late in the fall, I think the first snow was a week after I went up. Meaning the glaciers where at their smallest in the season, tho calling them glaciers would be incredibly generous (and I am sure technically incorrect). I heard that last year or so they disappeared all together. Kinda nuts that these pictures where taken shortly before their whimpering death.
